How Many Sessions Will My Dog Need?

The number of sessions your dog needs will depend on their oral health condition and comfort level with handling. If your dog has moderate to heavy tartar build up or signs of gum irritation, they may require 4–5 initial sessions close together for the best results. We use the Emmi®-Pet ultrasonic toothbrush, a gentle, vibration-free system designed to clean below the gumline and remove plaque without causing stress or discomfort.

Many dogs benefit from desensitisation work in the early stages—especially if they are nervous or not used to oral handling. These sessions are calm, pressure free, and help build confidence and trust over time.

Once your dog’s mouth is in a healthy condition, we recommend ongoing maintenance sessions every 4–8 weeks to keep teeth clean and gums healthy.
